“FIRG” is the original series of flat-faced couplings. Designed in 1983, the “FIRG” series immediately represented a major innovation in the field of quick couplings. Used in many sectors of hydraulics, over time it has become the leading series for the realization of the international standard ISO 16028 for couplings interchangeability. Thanks to the good performance and the many advantages it offers, even today the “FIRG” series is widely used and recognized by the major world manufacturers of hydraulic machines and equipment. It is used in all the applications where it is necessary to eliminate the loss of fluid and contamination of the circuit.

“BIR” is a poppet valve quick coupling series, interchangeable with international standard ISO 7241-1 “A”, the series is manufactured in carbon steel with zinc plated surface treatment. This series offers worldwide interchangeability and the availability of a wide range of sizes from 1/4” thru 2”. This makes the “BIR” series one of the most widely used in a range of hydraulic applications mainly in agricultural and industrial fields.

Series “A” is the evolution of Stucchi technology and quality applied to flat face couplings. The series has a internal design combined with a high resistance material to allow the achievement of higher operating pressure and minimal pressure drop. The modular structure allows the flexibility to offer several types of threads or special ports in order to satisfy diverse applications while maintaining a compact dimension. These features make series “A” couplings the leader in many hydraulics applications where high performance is necessary with the elimination of fluid loss and contamination in the circuit.

IRBO QDC" Double Shut-Off couplings are used extensively when it isimportant to minimize fluid loss upon disconnection. Bothhalves of the coupler, the body and the nipple, contain shut-offvalves. These valves open automatically when the body andnipple are connected, and close automatically when the twohalves are disconnected—keeping fluid loss to a minimum.

“A-HP” is the flat face coupling series designed for high pressure hydraulic applications up to 700 bar / 10,152 psi. The couplings are manufactured with high resistance carbon steel. The flat face design eliminates leakage during connecting and disconnecting. For safety, the couplings are designed not to interchange with lower pressure couplings and the automatic safety lock prevents accidental disconnection. “A-HP” series is used in applications where high operating pressure is necessary with maximum safety features.

The “VEP-P” screw flat face coupling series is the Stucchi solution for hydraulic applications requiring high operating pressures and connection with residual pressure trapped in the circuit.
The screw connection system eliminates the premature wear or “brinnelling” typically associated with locking ball connection systems when used in high impulse circuits. The triple valve system allows connection of the coupling safely even in the presence of high internal residual pressure and at the same time eliminates fluid loss during the connection-disconnection process.
